My May Library Book Haul

Last week, my husband and I headed to our local library to return a book, and of course, I found some more to bring home. The problem, however, I now face is that I have to have these read in just a matter of a couple of weeks, along with three other books. Seriously I do not know what happens to me when I get around books it is like all my reasoning steps out for the time I am there and I feel like there is no time limits and I can read it all. Now, the rush is on to finish these in time to return them before the end of the month. Does this happen to you, Reader, or is it just a me problem? I shouldn’t complain because I am beyond grateful to have such a nice library to use. Enough already let me give you some information on each of these books.

I chose The Lost Girls Of Paris by Pam Jenoff because I loved the last book I read by this author, and I am interested in reading more of her works. Besides, I am interested in the period and love Historical Fiction. I will include the Goodreads link below so you can check out the blurb for yourself.

Seriously though, doesn’t it sound wonderful? Have you read anything by this author? I have read Code Name Sapphire, and I absolutely loved it. I have a review for this book on my blog if you want to check it out.

I went into the library looking for the next book in The Bakeshop Mystery Series called On Thin Icing. Unfortunately, they did not have it in stock. So, like any book-obsessed individual, I picked up book one from her Sloan and Krause Mystery Series called Death On Tap. I am not into beer, but I am into her writing style and was craving a cozy mystery, so I thought, sure, why not? Below, I will include a link to Goodreads for both of the books mentioned here. Please tell me if you have read either of these books.

Last but not least, I saw a reimaging of Emma by Jane Austen that called out to me. The book is called The Emma Project by Sonali Dev. I am a dope, though, because it wasn’t until I got home that I realized it is book four in a series called The Rajes. Now, I am left with the question of whether I should read this or start with book one in the series. Have you read this series, and if so, does it need to be read in order?

I am excited about these books, and I really hope that I am able to get them read in time to return them to the library by their due date. Reader, do you use your local library, and if so, is it through digital, physical, audio, or a combination of the three? I use a combination of the three and that works just fine for me. Until Next Time, Reader, Happy Reading.

I have also included the video that I did for my YouTube channel this past weekend. The video includes me talking about these books and little snippets of my library. I hope you enjoy it.
