My Review
I loved everything about this book and had a very hard time putting it down. It is what I would call a cozy hallmark type of a read. If you are in the market for a feel-good book with a great story then this is the book for you.
This book is about a woman named Hallie Flynn who received a letter from her dead Aunt Clara. While all of Hallie’s family members received a letter and fortune from the much-loved Aunt Clara Hallie received a bucket list instead. This bucket list was written by Hallie herself when she was twelve years old and well long forgotten about by Hallie herself. In Aunt Clara’s letter to Hallie she wished for her niece to complete the things on this list. When the list was completed Hallie would receive the second letter from her favorite aunt.
This story is one of a woman dealing with grief and the sense of losing her identity. The story involves love, friendship, sisterhood, courage, new beginnings, and grief. There is also some mystery in this book involving a letter to a mysterious man left by Clara and a lurker around the property at Firefly Beach. I loved reading about how Hallie embraces her letter and her bucket list. I loved the romance that was involved in this story and the friendships. I loved how some of the story was told from memories having to do with a couple of the characters by the characters themselves. Overall I just loved this story and the characters involved in it. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who wants a feel-good read.
Trigger warnings for loss and the death of loved ones.
