Where In The Hell Have I Been?

I have been so sporadic here since last May, and it makes me sad. My Beyond Books Section was supposed to be a place where I give you monthly updates as to what I have been up to, eating, watching, playing, and so on, but my last installment was back in May, and it was for the month of April. Where have I been? Here, right here, that is where I have been. I have been working hard to try and process everything that life has thrown my way. Last May, I lost a very good friend to cancer, all while my father-in-law was going through chemo and radiation for his cancer. Needless to say, there has been a lot going on over the past nine months. Well, crap, nine months is a long time. I could have gotten pregnant and given birth in that time frame. With all this being said, I will admit I have been struggling hard with my mental health, but I am now at a point where I want to try and get back to good. So, my January Resolution is to work on my mental health this year. With that being said, one of the things I am going to work on is showing up here. Regardless of if anyone is here to read my words, it is just nice to have a place to go where I can share if that makes sense.

Here is to a new year and a fresh start. My plan is to be more present here, not just with my book updates and YouTube videos but also with my Beyond Books Section. I am currently thinking of a way to change my site a bit so I can include more things like book round-ups. Think along the lines of best books of the year, romance books, mystery books, and fantasy books; if you liked this, then read these kinds of things as well. I really want this blog to be a community and a safe place where people can come and talk about the books that they love and get ideas for new books, shows, or even games.

I am trying to be optimistic and think that 2025 will be a great year. I hope you, Reader, are feeling the same way. So here is to another year of great books, fun games, adventures, friendships, health, and love. I am sending all the positive vibes out into the world and chasing every bit of happiness that comes my way in the new year. I truly hope, Reader, that you are doing the same. Until Next Time, Reader, I wish you all the best.

Here is a picture from a walk I took not that long ago. I absolutely love the snow and the colder temperatures. I mean it just screams coziness to me.
